Enter values in this section to identify elevators that may be present in the building; miscellaneous gas loads, setpoints, and operating hours. The fields in this section are not ASHRAE level 2 inputs, but may be entered if values are available. These inputs are used by the Asset Score tool to identify cost-effective upgrade opportunities and should be provided if the auditor intends to convert an Audit Template building to an Asset Score building.

After entering elevator and/or operations inputs, return to the Use Types section to link entries to associated use types.

Elevators

Use the green ‘Add Elevators’ button to create an entry for elevators. Select an elevator type and enter the number of elevators in the building (required for New York Energy Efficiency Reports) and the year of manufacturer, if known.

Elevator Type selections include:

Hydraulic – These elevators use a system of hydraulic cylinders and plungers powered by high-speed electric pumps. Buildings with fewer than 6 floors typically have hydraulic elevators.

Traction – These elevators use a system of wire ropes or belts that wrap around a sheave driven by a gearless or a reduction gear motor. Buildings with 6 or more floors typically have traction elevators.

Operations

Use the green ‘Add Operations’ button to create an entry for building operation details and operating hours. A default component text and counter will automatically be generated and assigned as the entry name.

Values may be added for the following:

Miscellaneous Gas Load – Gas loads resulting from gas devices not responsible for space heating and water heating

Setpoint Heating – Point at which the desired temperature of the heated space is set

Setpoint Cooling – Point at which the desired temperature of the cooled space is set
