The “Report Information” section is where you can define the general settings and appearance of the reporting template. It is the first section in the Field Configuration process and includes two main sub-sections – Reporting Template Settings and External Resources.
Note: To access this section, please refer to Field Configuration in CTC: Overview for detailed steps.

Reporting Template Settings
The initial fields listed under the Report Information section touch upon various sections of the tool and can be used to set up overall settings and behavior of the reporting template.
- Template Overview Settings
The following set of fields – Name, “Building Energy Savings Opportunities Summary section?”, “Submission Instructions” – are used to define the reporting template name, enable the display of the summary table of packages of measures in the reporting template, and customize the submission instructions shown to the auditors.
- Optional Fields
The following fields – “Include optional fields in PDF reports?”, “Display optional fields by default?”, and “Allow toggle optional fields?” – define the behavior of fields marked as optional (visible but not required) in the reporting template.
- Form Instructions
This field helps define any instructions you may want to convey to the auditors. These instructions are displayed on the building editing screens in CTC.
- Warnings, Prompts
The following fields – “Required Title”, “N/A Required Title”, “Invalid Asset Title”, “Invalid Table Row Title”, and “Invalid Screen Message” – allow the jurisdiction to customize prompts displayed for invalid data entry in input fields.

External Resources
An external resource is a publicly hosted file that provides information relevant to the audit reporting process. You can use the “Add External Resource” button to enter the resource name, URL, and position of the external resource. Once added, these resources appear in a dropdown menu at the top of the report. You can add, update, or remove them at any time to ensure auditors have quick access to helpful reference material. This is especially useful if a jurisdiction would like to direct auditors to resources or requirements for their specific program.
