In this section, the auditor is required to report the years for which data is collected and the beginning and ending months.

Enter the start dates of the years in which you will be entering metered/delivered data, and select the green Add button. The End Date field will automatically be populated as the last day of the year entered as the start date.  You may add up to 3 consecutive years. After three years (rows) have been added, the Energy Year Start Date will not be visible.

The reporting years entered into this table will be used to evaluate annual energy use and cost in the Annual Summary table and as a check for completion.

The Metering and Delivery columns in the table include counters of the numbers of rows entered in the Metered Energy and Delivered Energy tables for a selected year. Only complete data within a reporting year will be evaluated in the calculations of the Annual Summary table.  Values appearing in the Metering column that are not in multiples of 12 would indicate an incomplete set of data is present in the Metered Energy table.

The rows in this table may not be edited directly.  If changes need to be made, delete a row using the red Remove button, then re-enter a start date.

Note: ASHRAE Standard 105, Informative Appendix I provides guidance on how to adjust utility bill data to a period of 365 days and the process for adjusting nonsynchronous billing periods. For the purpose of Audit Template reporting, all energy measurements should be adjusted to cover the same consecutive 365 days.

The ability to import utility data from Energy Star Portfolio Manager is available in this section.

DC BEPS Energy Audit Report The energy reporting year and meter/delivery data does not have to align with the baseline year(s) used for DC BEPS compliance (more recent energy data is permitted for performing the end-use analysis, for example). However, if using the same period for baseline years, select the following Energy Year Start Date to ensure the correct data appears as monthly and annual data:

  • 2018-01-01 (if selected CY2018 as Baseline Year)
  • 2019-01-01 (if selected CY2019 as Baseline Year)
  • Both years as outlined above if the elected Baseline Year is the average of CY2018/2019
  • Other (DOEE Approved) - Auditors may coordinate with DOEE if there is a reason to use a baseline year other than 2018-2019.
