Validate serves use type?

The use type validation requires certain assets (Fixtures, Hot Water Systems, HVAC Systems) to link to at least one use type (location).

The following example shows that HVAC violates the use type validation.

To fix the validation error, click "Add Space", then at the "Location" dropdown menu, choose the location to link to.

Validate common area coverage?

The common area coverage validation requires the sum of the common area served by the assets (Fixtures, Hot Water Systems, HVAC Systems) must equal to or over 100 percent.

Here are some valid examples:

Valid case 1

  • Use Type 1 ("Office")
  • HVAC System 1
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 60% Common
  • HVAC System 2
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 40% Common

Valid  case 2

  • Use Type 1 ("Office")
  • HVAC System 1
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 70% Common
  • HVAC System 2
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 30% Common
  • HVAC System 3
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 0% Common

Valid case 3

  • Use Type 1 ("Office")
  • HVAC System 1
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 70% Common
  • HVAC System 2
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 70% Common
  • HVAC System 3
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 0% Common

Here is an invalid example: (note that the sum of the common area served is less than 100%)

Invalid case 1

  • Use Type 1 ("Office")
  • HVAC System 1
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 60% Common, 50% Tenant
  • HVAC System 2
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 30% Common, 50% Tenant

A common area validation error message looks similar as follows:

To fix the error violation, specify the "Percent Common Area" field and make sure the sum of the common area served by the assets satisfies the requirements.

Validate tenant area coverage?

The tenant area coverage validation requires the sum of the tenant area served by the assets (Fixtures, Hot Water Systems, HVAC Systems) must equal to or over 100 percent.

Here are some valid examples:

Valid case 1

  • Use Type 1 ("Office")
  • HVAC System 1
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 60% Tenant
  • HVAC System 2
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 40% Tenant

Valid  case 2

  • Use Type 1 ("Office")
  • HVAC System 1
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 70% Tenant
  • HVAC System 2
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 30% Tenant
  • HVAC System 3
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 0% Tenant

Valid case 3

  • Use Type 1 ("Office")
  • HVAC System 1
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 70% Tenant
  • HVAC System 2
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 70% Tenant
  • HVAC System 3
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 0% Tenant

Here is an invalid example: (note that the sum of the tenant area served is less than 100%)

Invalid case 1

  • Use Type 1 ("Office")
  • HVAC System 1
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 60% Tenant
  • HVAC System 2
    • Serves Use Type 1 - 30% Tenant

A Tenant area validation error message looks similar as follows:

To fix the error violation, specify the "Percent Common Area" field and make sure the sum of the common area served by the assets satisfies the requirements.
